Energy Advisory Board


The Energy Advisory Board was established in 1994 to advise the Minister for Public Enterprise on matters of public policy in relation to energy efficiency, renewable energy and related research. The membership of the board is drawn from:

The establishment of the Irish Energy Centre and the Energy Advisory Board is a tangible demonstration of Ireland's commitment to achieving energy efficiency across all sectors of the economy. Energy efficiency, together with the appropriate development of sources of renewable energy, has been given a new impetus and is now firmly on the national agenda.
